Vanja grew up in Hartford, Wisconsin. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. As an undergraduate student, Vanja worked as the Director of Personnel of the University Legal Clinic. Her experience helping students navigate the challenges of the legal process solidified her interest in law.
While in law school, Vanja was a member of the Mock Trial Team. She competed in multiple national mock trial competitions and won the Susan B. Steingass Award for Outstanding Advocacy. She worked as a judicial intern for Justice Rebecca F. Dallet on the Supreme Court of Wisconsin and clerked for a personal injury law firm.
The entirety of Vanja's career has been dedicated to civil litigation. Her practice areas include defense of medical malpractice, products liability, construction defect, and general liability claims.
Outside of work, Vanja enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
