Elizabeth Jimenez, Esq. is a Senior Partner in the Miami office and chair of the firm's Sexual Misconduct Liability group. As Chair of the Sexual Misconduct Unit, she handles and oversees all cases involving sex trafficking, rapes of minors and adults, and sexual assaults. Elizabeth's areas of practice also include general liability, premises liability, negligent security, transportation claims, construction litigation, product liability, wrongful death, professional liability, vehicular liability and matters involving catastrophic personal injury. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for the Felony Trial Division for the Office of the State Attorney. Within nine months of being prosecutor, Elizabeth was selected to be the County Court Assistant Chief of DUI’s and Traffic Fatalities. As the Assistant Chief, she supervised 40+ Assistant State Attorneys and tried high profile DUI’s and Traffic Fatality cases. As an Assistant State Attorney, she tried 35 jury trials and 20 bench trials. Elizabeth is fluent in Spanish.

Elizabeth has previously worked in the Human Trafficking Unit at the Miami Dade State Attorney's office. At the time she left the State Attorney’s Office, she was handling 1st degree and punishable by life felonies, cases involving armed rapes, attempted murder, home invasions, robberies, homicides and cases involving violent repeat offenders from intake through trial. While in law school, she was a Certified Legal Intern for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's office where she handled the first probation violation hearing for a convicted sex trafficker. Elizabeth handled investigations of sex trafficking of minors, many of which were foster children. As President of the Hispanic Law Students Association, Elizabeth hosted a Symposium of Human Trafficking. She also received the 2013 Outstanding Law Student Award from the National Association of Women Lawyers as a result of her work in Sex Trafficking of Minors. As an Assistant State Attorney, Elizabeth handled a wide array of sexual misconduct cases.

Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Florida International University. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad School of Law. Elizabeth is admitted in Florida (2013) and United States District Court for the Southern (2018) and Middle (2020) Districts of Florida.
