Craig Pelini achieved his BA degree (with honors) in political
science in 1981 from Washington & Jefferson College. He then
continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh School of
Law, obtaining his JD degree. Craig was admitted to the Ohio State
Bar in 1984, and is also admitted to practice in the United States
District Court, both Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, and
United States 6th District Court of Appeals. Craig is a member of
the Ohio State, Stark County and Mahoning County Bar
Associations, and the Federation of Defense and Corporate
Counsel.
Ohio Super Lawyers® has honored Craig each year as a "Super Lawyer" for his work in personal injury defense, and they have again honored him in 2018.
Craig has been in private practice for more than 30 years, focusing primarily in the area of tort, professional negligence, commercial, and business litigation, for the defense. His work has included malpractice defense on behalf of attorneys, physicians, pharmacists and medical groups. During that time, Craig has personally tried over 200 jury trials throughout Ohio, and has argued before the Ohio Supreme Court and the United States 6th Circuit. Craig has maintained an AV® Peer Review Rating for over 20 consecutive years.
Craig started our firm 21 years ago and we have grown, and have established a reputation of attorneys who will take their cases to jury trials when it is prudent to do so on behalf of our clients. Many attorneys claim to be litigators; we are proven trial attorneys. Our firm has offices in North Canton, Columbus and Youngstown, Ohio and we serve the entire State of Ohio. Craig is also a frequent lecturer and has authored articles and presented seminars on a wide variety of topics and issues. Craig is also an avid college football fan and he and his wife Pam have three daughters; Kate is a CPA with Ernst Young in Columbus, Corrin is in medical school at Ohio University and Christine is a pre-law major at The University of Kentucky. Pam and Craig also have two dogs, Vinny and Luca.
