Ben began his career in crash construction as a forensic intern in 2003. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2005, he accepted an advanced science internship with EPCOT Science at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Upon completion of his internship in 2006, he returned full time to crash reconstruction.
Since 2006, Ben has completed over a dozen specialized training courses in advanced crash reconstruction with institutions like IPTM at the University of North Florida, The University of Tulsa, The University or West Virginia, and The George Washington University as well as successfully earning his ACTAR accreditation (#2271).
Additionally, Ben has authored or co-authored five peer reviewed technical publications in the fields of crash reconstruction and heavy vehicle electronic data. He is a regular guest lecturer with the University of Southern Mississippi's Forensic Science Department and has also lectured for the United States Army, The International Association of Identification, The ARC-CSI Conference, The Midwestern Association of Traffic Accident Investigators, and Farm Bureau's Special Investigation Division.
In his personal life, Ben is an award winning film director and editor. His film projects have screened at festivals around the United States including Festival South, The Austin Film Festival, Docutah, South by South West, and Nourish Vermont. His cinematography and editing projects include work for The American Athletic Conference, The Special Olympics, and The Minnesota Timberwolves. Ben's photography has been published in several magazines including Inked.
