Walter E. ‘Rip’ Parker is a 1963 graduate of Southern Methodist University School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from SMU as well. He is currently licensed to practice in the State of Texas, the Northern District and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. While litigating, Rip handled cases on both sides of the docket and tried over 125 cases in State and Federal Court. After participating in one of the first Dallas Bar Association mediator training programs, Rip began mediating in 1988 and has been a full time mediator since 1990. He has conducted over 4,500 mediations in very divergent areas of civil disputes ranging from insurance coverage issues, estate property issues to SEC issues and personal injury to mergers and acquisitions, with increasing emphasis on product liability, internet technology, intellectual property, employment law, wrongful discharge, and construction disputes. He is also trained in Collaborative Law.
