Mr. Harris received his bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico in 1981 and his Juris Doctor degree from Drake University School of Law in 1985. He is admitted to practice before all New Mexico state and federal courts and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the State Bar of New Mexico.

For over 30 years Josh has been trying cases to juries in State and Federal courts in New Mexico. He tried his first case to the bench in his first week on the job at the District Attorney’s office. He tried his first jury trial in the first 3 months of his career. Josh has had plenty of victories but also knows what is like to lose. In both situations he has learned a lot over the years about jurors’ expectations and perceptions, and how to try a case to a jury. Josh has cross-examined judge’s and other lawyers. He has litigated a case against a disbarred judge. The case was dismissed based upon the plaintiff / judge’s pervasive lies during the discovery process that were able to be uncovered by Josh. Over the years Josh has had twenty-five cases dismissed for discovery abuse by the opposing party. He is always trying to improve his skills and his strategy for litigating the cases he handles. Currently the vast majority of his work involves catastrophic injury or death cases arising out of the oilfield accidents or arising out of construction accidents.
