Mr. Garrett received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of New Mexico, Anderson School of Management, in 1998, with a concentration in Accounting. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2001. While in law school, Mr. Garrett was a member of the moot court team that took third-place brief and made oral argument semi-finals at the Tulane Mardi Gras Sports Law Invitational. Mr. Garrett is admitted in state and federal courts in New Mexico and Pennsylvania (inactive), as well as the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Garrett currently serves on the Board of Directors for, and is past-president of, the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and a board member and past-president of the University of New Mexico School of Law Alumni/ae Association. Mr. Garrett’s practice focuses on civil litigation including personal injury, employment, civil rights, and professional liability. He also has experience handling appeals in both federal and state court.
