CONSTRUCTION DEFECT
But determining fault can be a nightmare – how do you sort out the complex relationships between the architect, builder and subcontractors and find out who is responsible for what? That’s where we can help. We investigate construction defects in every kind of construction project – from multi-million dollar high rises to family homes and condominiums. We have worked on cases with hundreds of thousands of documents and allocated responsibility between as many as fifty separate parties. We have the structural expertise to manage the investigation and design the fixes, the construction expertise to estimate and allocate the costs, and the expert witnesses to support you if you need to go to trial, mediation, or arbitration. We can even oversee the remediation.

Our forensic engineers are experts experienced in assessing failure and providing the information you need to get everything working again. From flight-simulators to printing presses, radial stackers to AC compressors, we have decades of combined experience in following the clues back to the source, and delivering reliable answers when you need them most.

WATER INTRUSION
Buildings are designed and intended to keep the weather out and to keep the occupants and interiors dry. Leaky roofs, poorly installed or manufactured doors and windows, and leaky joints at exterior walls can result in water intrusion into building interiors, attic spaces, and wall cavities. CCA’s services related to water intrusion include: Building envelope evaluations, ASTM water penetration and leakage testing, Component and system testing, Differential pressure testing, Thermal imaging and damage mapping, Mold and other microbial contamination analysis AND Remediation plans and cost estimates

TECHNOLOGY INVESTIGATION SYSTEMS
Figuring out what happened and why, how to fix it, and how much it will cost usually requires experts from several disciplines. That’s why our technology investigation services are staffed by a multidisciplinary team. Our consultants are qualified to investigate all manner of electro-mechanical problems, including engine failures, computer hardware and software errors, product liability, vehicle failures, and much more. And we maintain an ongoing relationship with a leading metallurgy and materials testing facility that allows us to diagnose some of the most complicated issues around technical failure.

FORENSICS LITIGATION SUPPORT
When you need forensic engineering support during litigation, we provide the most consistently complete and thorough investigations and the best-prepared experts in industry. We develop airtight investigations with the kind of clear-cut evidence that convinces a jury. We work closely with the lead counsel to develop a winning strategy and testify in plain language without "dumbing it down." With thorough litigation support from CCA, you'll know you've got an integrated team of experts on your side.

Just like we did when we worked for Sandra Bullock. In 2003 we were hired to investigate water leaks and other problems in her newly constructed, 10,000 square foot home outside Austin, Texas. Our expert witnesses testified in the suit against the builder, resulting in a $7.2 million judgment for Ms. Bullock.

PRODUCT INVESTIGATIONS
For a wide range of reasons, products may cause injuries and sometimes may not work right. We have investigated scores of a vast array of products. Can openers, space heaters, frying pans, modular fireplaces, boilers, remote modular weather stations, cell phone antennae, and heavy equipment are a few of the products investigated by CCA.
