Dr. Michael Foley has been a diagnostic and nuclear radiologist in Tampa, Florida since 1983. His medical education at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, IL included his Radiology Residency and Fellowship. He also served as Chief Resident of Radiology at Northwestern University. He achieved and maintains board certifications in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine with previous CAQ in Interventional Radiology (1996-2006).
Previous hospital affiliations and administrative roles for Dr. Foley have included Brandon Regional Medical Center in Brandon, Florida where he served as Chairman of the Radiology Department as well as Chief of Interventional Radiology. Dr. Foley has also served as Chairman of Radiology at Dade City Hospital and Assistant Chairman of Radiology at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida.
Dr. Foley has had more than 30 scientific articles published and has delivered over 200 presentations at local, regional and national scientific meetings on a variety of Radiology topics including CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine (SPECT and PET scans), Neuroradiology (brain and spine), acute and chronic disc disease of the spine, closed head injuries, chest x-rays and lung cancer as well as Interventional Radiology topics. He currently serves on the Editorial Board of the Hillsborough County Medical Association Journal and has served previously on an advisory Board of the Society of Interventional Radiology. He is a member of numerous professional Radiology Societies and has served as Vice-President and President of the Florida West Coast Radiologic Society.
Dr. Foley has served as a Forensic Radiology Expert Witness for both Plaintiff and Defense on a variety of Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury and Product Liability cases since 1987. He is available for Expert Radiographic Consultation, including review of radiographic imaging studies, medical records and depositions, as well as providing deposition and trial testimony.
