Mr. Smith is a shareholder and director at Sanders & Parks. Mr. Smith concentrates his practice on a broad range of tort litigation matters including personal and catastrophic injury, products liability law, marine and watercraft liability, warranty law, insurance coverage and liability law, public entity liability litigation, oil and gas law, liquor and dram shop liability law, and appeals.
While concentrating his practice on a broad range of tort litigation matters, Mr. Smith’s practice emphasizes defending product liability claims involving manufacturers accused of causing personal injury or property damage as a result of a manufacturing, design or warning defect in a product. This includes warranty and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act litigation. Mr. Smith has defended numerous manufacturers over the years including vehicle manufacturers, appliance manufacturers, and manufacturers of component parts whose part is alleged to have caused the personal injury or property damage. Mr. Smith has represented manufacturers in nearly every significant manufacturing market including small and medium size manufacturing companies to fortune 500 manufacturing companies, and has successfully defended cases with damage claims in excess of seven figures.
Mr. Smith earned his Juris Doctor degree from Florida Coastal School of Law, where he was a member both of the Law Journal and the Moot Court Honor Board. As an undergraduate, Mr. Smith was captain of the University of Wyoming football team.
Mr. Smith is licensed to practice law in Arizona and Florida, and is an inactive member of the Georgia Bar. Mr. Smith is a member of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel. Mr. Smith has been awarded Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV® Preeminent™ rating.
