Mr. Jahner graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1989 magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1992. Upon completing law school, Mr. Jahner accepted a position with the legal staff at the North Dakota Supreme Court, serving as law clerk to Justice Beryl J. Levine.
Mr. Jahner is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in New Mexico. He is also admitted to practice in the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Jahner is a Southwest Super Lawyer, a member of the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute and Albuquerque Bar Association. Mr. Jahner is also a member of the Local Civil Rules Committee for the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico. Mr. Jahner has tried numerous cases in state and federal district court, and his complex litigation practice is focused primarily in the areas of civil rights and public entity liability.
