Jesse is co-chair of Ericksen Arbuthnot’s Environment Group. With more than twenty years of experience representing clients in complex matters ranging from interstate water disputes before the U.S. Supreme Court, to multi-party remediation agreements, to nation-wide class-actions, Jesse has the experience and technical expertise to handle your most difficult cases. While his practice centers around water and environmental law, Jesse has significant experience in a variety of other areas, including toxic torts, business disputes, and trade-secret litigation. Jesse also spent time in the music business before law school, so he enjoys helping artists through (oft-unique) situations from time-to-time.

Jesse was Faculty/Panelist at the Green California Summit and Expo 2016 presenting Cal. Water Law: Background and Basics. Also, he is an environmental consultant/technician where he performed hundreds of environmental investigations and oversaw dozens of remediation projects in and around Southern California, and he is a California Certified Asbestos Consultant. During law school, Jesse served as Lead Articles Editor for the Natural Resources Journal and earned a Natural Resources Law Certificate.

Jesse was born and raised in northern New Mexico and has maintained a love of the outdoors since childhood. Though he has lived in London, New York, Los Angeles, and now the Bay Area, he is still at his happiest when he is in the mountains with a backpack, a rod, and a stream full of fish.
