UnRavel the Gavel Wins Distinguished Award.

UnRavel the Gavel, Inc. of Belmont, NH, has announced that it is the winner of the coveted “SERVICES” award from New Hampshire Magazine. Publisher Kathy Greer said, “We are excited to be recognized by such a prestigious group of judges who picked “the Gavel” as the BEST Consumer Publication in the Editor’s Choice Services category, year 2000.”
According to Rick Broussard, Editor of New Hampshire Magazine, “The items selected as BEST all came from rigorous field testing by our editorial staff. We were proud to include each and every one of them.”
New Hampshire Magazine produces several annual issues that are devoted to finding the best in the state of New Hampshire for discerning readers. The field of nominees for the awards is wide-open. “We ask area experts to nominate their favorite places, people or products for consideration,” said Broussard.
Once a year New Hampshire Magazine produces an annual issue for The Very Best of NH, chosen by the magazine’s editors and readers, listing the “bests” in food, dining, and many other New Hampshire experiences, including the coveted “services” award.
The Gavel’s publisher Kathy Greer said she was surprised to learn of the award, stating the monthly antiques and auction newspaper hadn’t even known it had been nominated.
“This can only help to validate all the hard work we’ve put into the newspaper,” she said, “including, of course, our wonderful group of freelance columnists, reporters, advertising representatives, website managers, and graphics artists and designers who have unselfishly worked so hard over the past couple of years to coordinate our inprint and online versions of the newspaper. All that hard work has now paid off as more and more readers, both inprint and online, have come to recognize the value to be gained from reading and advertising in the Gavel. Not only are readers entertained and educated, but also they are kept up-to-date of the changing conditions in “the Trade”. Collectors, dealers, shop owners, show promoters, and auctioneers around New England have come to recognize the fact that we deliver real “bang for the buck,” she added.
